Krown Media took a bold design approach with an explosion of colors and textures to communicate the cultural impact that this event has for the African diaspora. We designed a set of logos that translate on marketing materials, merchandise and more. For the event we used a heavily textured design theory to communicate competition between Ghana and Nigeria, using their flag colors as reference.
The Battle of the Real Jollof is a friendly basketball and food competition between two powerhouse countries in Africa. The 2023 event was powered by WhatsApp and hosted at Nike World Headquarters.

Powered by League Twenty Two, the Nike Headquarters in New York City was transformed into the friendly Jollof battle zone using the bright and dramatic branding.
